Un homme identifié comme étant Nader Harb a été gravement brûlé au troisième degré à la cuisse par une batterie de rechange pour son appareil de vapotage qui a explosé dans sa poche.

Il se préparait apparemment pour la journée à la boucherie où il travaille lorsque la batterie LGHG2 dans sa poche droite a pris feu. Selon son procès intenté contre le fabricant de batteries LG Chem, Harb affirme qu'il "s'est littéralement effondré au sol, a roulé et a éteint le feu" avant de réaliser que c'était sa vape.

Il a été transporté à l'hôpital, où des spécialistes des grands brûlés l'ont soigné pour des brûlures au deuxième et au troisième degré qui ont occupé la majeure partie de sa cuisse droite. Harb a déclaré que l'incident l'avait presque tué, et que c'était pire que d'être renversé par une voiture.

"Je veux dire, je me suis fait avoir par des machines, je me suis fait écraser par une voiture, je n'ai jamais vu de douleur pareille", a-t-il déclaré.

A man identified as Nader Harb, suffered a massive third-degree burn on his thigh after a spare battery for his vaping device exploded in his pocket.  

He was reportedly setting up for the day at the butcher shop he works at when the LGHG2 battery in his right pocket burst into flames. According to his lawsuit filed against the battery maker LG Chem, Harb says he 'literally dropped to the ground, rolled, and put out the fire' before he realized it was his vape.

He was rushed to a hospital, where burn specialists treated him for second- and third-degree burns that took up most of this right thigh. Harb said the incident nearly killed him, and it was worse than being run over by a car.

'I mean, I got cut by machines, I got run over by a car, I've never seen pain like this' he said and has now filed a lawsuit against LG, the South Korean electronics company that owns the battery provider.
