Cette famille sort des normes. Adam Lyons, qui a été surnommé l’homme le plus chanceux du monde, partage sa vie avec Brooke Shedd et Jane Shalakhova. Tous bisexuels, ils partagent un seul et même grand lit.

Ayant déjà un enfant avec Brook et étant beaux-parents de son fils de 7 ans d’une union précédente, le trio attend impatiemment la naissance du bébé que porte Jane, pour juillet.

« C’est merveilleux, nous serons tous parents et élèverons les enfants ensemble. On en a parlé en profondeur, et nous nous considérons tous comme des parents des enfants. Alors, il y a papa, maman et maman. Trois vaut mieux que deux. »

Cette famille pense que leur drôle d’arrangement pourrait être le futur des relations amoureuses et de la vie de parents.

« Pour nous, trois personnes fonctionnent mieux que deux, car ça nous permet de drôlement mieux gérer la vie au quotidien. Nous avons beaucoup d’amis en « couples normaux » avec des enfants, le travail et toutes les responsabilités, je les vois lutter pour tout conjuguer. C’est difficile à deux. Mais à trois, nous avons toujours une personne qui peut veiller sur les enfants et on ne peut être mécontent, car nous avons plus de temps.

Cela fait cinq ans que nous vivons comme ça, ce n’est pas une phase, nous sommes une vraie famille avec des enfants heureux et en santé.»

Jane ne voulait pas avoir d’enfants, jusqu’à ce qu’elle voit à quel point tout était simple à trois parents. Le fait d’avoir encore la possibilité de mener une vie sociale, d’avoir du temps l’un pour l’autre et de partager les tâches parentales l’a convaincue de se lancer dans l’aventure.
