Kate Middleton et William ont violé l’immuable rituelle qui caractérise la  tradition de noël chez les membres de la famille royale britannique. Le duc et la duchesse de Cambridge ont cédé à l’impatience de leurs enfants qui ont déballé leurs cadeaux en violation du protocole.

Ce petit détail témoigne du fort mépris de Kate et William pour les règles strictes qui régissent la vie des ducs et duchesses de Cambridge. Le lundi 24 décembre, ils avaient réveillonné seuls avec leurs enfants dans leur propriété d’Hanmer Hall mettant à dos, la reine Elizabeth II qui aurait ordonné que tout le monde passe le réveillon de noël dans la propriété de Sandringham.
