Un Nigérian arrêté en Inde avec 300 grammes d'héroïne

La police de Khanna en Inde a arrêté un ressortissant nigérian et saisi 300 grammes d'héroïne, lundi 8 octobre.

L’accusé a été identifié comme étant Obizi Chiko Mej, qui vivait actuellement à la phase 3, Om Vihar, Uttam Nagar, Delhi.

Il a été arrêté du pont du canal de Neelon, dans la région de Samrala, après avoir quitté un bus.

Le chef de la police de Khanna, Dhruv Dahiya, a déclaré qu'une équipe de police dirigée par Samrala SHO, Manjit Singh, avait déposé une naka près du pont du canal de Neelon, à Samrala.

Le SSP a déclaré que l'accusé était descendu d'un bus et se dirigeait vers le village de Neelon Khurd. Sur des soupçons, la police a arrêté Obizi, qui était en train de manger, pour vérification et a récupéré 300 g d'héroïne de sa possession.

Une affaire au titre des articles 21, 61 et 85 de la loi NDPS a été enregistrée contre l'accusé. Selon le SSP, l'accusé avait apporté l'envoi du côté de Delhi qui se dirigeait vers Ludhiana, mais a été arrêté par la police de Samrala.

L’accusé a été présenté à un tribunal pour suite à donner mardi 9 octobre.

Le SSP a déclaré que la police de Khanna avait arrêté 12 passeurs internationaux au cours des six derniers mois et récupéré de l'héroïne de 4,8 kg, de la cocaïne 47 grammes, de la drogue ICE 18 grammes et de la poudre psychotrope 15 grammes.

The Khanna police in India arrested a Nigerian national and seized 300 gm of heroin Monday, October 8.

The accused was identified as Obizi Chiko Mej, who was currently living in Phase-3, Om Vihar, Uttam Nagar, Delhi.

He was arrested from Neelon Canal bridge in Samrala area after he stepped down from a bus.

Khanna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dhruv Dahiya said a police team led by Samrala SHO Manjit Singh laid a naka near Neelon Canal Bridge, Samrala.

The SSP said the accused alighted from a bus and was going towards Neelon Khurd village. On suspicion, the police stopped Obizi, who was on food, for checking and recovered 300-gm heroin from his possession.

A case under Sections 21, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused. According to the SSP,  the accused had brought the consignment from Delhi side was going towards Ludhiana, but was arrested by the Samrala police.

The accused was presented in a court for further action Tuesday, October 9.

The SSP said the Khanna police had arrested 12 international smugglers in the past six months and recovered 4.8-kg heroin, 47-gm cocaine, 18-gm ICE-Drug and 15-gm psychotropic powder from their possession.
