L’abstinence, un fait qui consiste à vivre en se privant volontairement de toute pratique sexuelle. Certaines personnes choisissent l’abstinence par conviction religieuse. 

D’autres le font parce que pour eux, l’amour rime aussi avec patience. 
Nombreuses sont ces célébrités qui ont opté pour le vœu de chasteté avant le mariage. Parmi eux,  il y a Jordin sparks, une auteure-compositrice-interprète et actrice américaine. Actuellement marié, Jordin avait fait vœu de chasteté jusqu’au mariage. Elle a grandi dans une famille chrétienne très stricte et portait même un anneau de pureté pour représenter son engagement. L’actrice Jordin sparks, née le 22 décembre 1989 à Phoenix en Arizona et est connue pour avoir remporté la saison 6 de American Idol aux États-Unis.
